Our vision is to engage in the manufacture and distribution of quality food ingredients and food products and to be the leader in the market segments that we serve. We are a socially and environmentally responsible organization that acknowledges the importance of its customers, employees, suppliers and the community at large.

Our History

PEOTRACO FOOD INC., started in 1924 as People’s Trading Company, a company founded by Mr. Kaw Tek. It was engaged in trading sugar, copra and other commodities. The company later ventured into the manufacture of confectioner’s sugar and became known for its flagship brand Peotraco in the green box.

After World War II, the company’s import business and commodity trading flourished. Mr. John C. Kaw took management control of Peotraco at the age of 21 on January 1, 1961 with the infusion of fresh capital. In 1995, Mr. John Kaw initiated a company wide re-organization.

Since then, Peotraco has transformed into a dynamic company that continues to renew itself. From being a one-product company, it has successfully launched a number of new product lines incorporated into the confectionery business.

Peotraco Industries Inc. passed the strict audit of TUV Products Services and was ISO 9001:2008 certified since December 2000.

In 2016, in-line with our vision to be the best in manufacturing of food ingredients and food products, management has decided to change our name to Peotraco Food Inc.

Today, Peotraco Food Inc. is a company rich in history, yet guided by the vision of management. It treasures the old values of thrift, discipline and dedication while it stands by its commitment to quality and customer service.
